BCG wanted to see the agent working before committing to it, and then to rely on it in daily use. Its results had to be structured so people could check them, with points where a person confirms the result before it is used.

Four weeks to a working demonstration
StrataEdge and two engineers built the first version in four weeks. Structured outputs and human-review checkpoints were part of it from the start, so BCG could judge it on its results.
Three months to production
In production, the agent has to handle the full range of real inputs, run reliably for the people who use it, and give reviewers what they need to check each result. BCG’s agent was in production three months after we started.
Current status
BCG uses the agent in production, and we continue to improve it with them. People check the results that need judgment at the review checkpoints.
